08/20/05 - Lexi is doing well without the
oxygen
She'll have an echo on Monday to check her
pressures again just to make sure all is well |
Her anti-seizure medicine weaning is going
well, 1 more week and she will be off of that |
It has been very nice taking Lexi places
without out the ball and chain of the oxygen tank |
One problem, now you have to look for Lexi if,
you can no longer follow the oxygen tube to know where to find her!! |
08/16/05 - Lexi is
off oxygen, first time since early March!!!
It is such a happy day for us...she is so
cute!! |
We just posted the first 'no oxygen pic' from
a camera phone |
Will try to get better pics up in the next day
or so |
08/03/05 - Lots of good news to report today
The transplant team has started to wean Lexi
from her oxygen
Apparently Lexi's pulmonary pressures are
getting better |
Her flow was cut by 1/2 Monday |
Hopefully her pressures will stay steady
and we can 'cut her off' soon |
Can't wait to see her without the canula,
it has been a long time |
Lexi had an EEG to measure seizure activity
inside her cute little head, and it came out as 'normal'
This means she has no Seizure activity |
Previous studies had indicated
sub-clinical activity (meaning she was having seizures but you could
not physically see them) |
We expect the Neurologists to either stop
her anti-seizure medication or to wean her from it soon |
Lexi is 13 1/2 pounds now, she just keeps
packing on the weight
She is eating baby food quite a bit |
She prefers to gnaw on real food:
Big chunks of steak |
Pizza |
Just loves digging her hands into
mashed potatoes |
A swig of Diet Coke just makes her day |
Lexi got her first hair cut last week -
finally with all that hair!! |
