11/25/06 - She walks all over the place!!!
Arrived at Disney World Friday, she walks
around the hotel room as if she has been walking for weeks |
She Started walking non-stop after
Thanksgiving dinner |
It is so cute |
11/22/06 - She walks!
Check out picks from
11/21, she started walking
today |
Well, she stands, and will stand all day, it
takes some coaxing to get her to take any steps...but she is getting
it!! |
Off to Grandparents for Thanksgiving then to
Disney World, we will try to update pics, in particular walking pics. |
11/15/06 - Eye surgery went well
Lexi had eye surgery a week or so ago and her
eyes seem to work together much better now |
She is all ready for the holiday season, she
has already gotten in to the tree ornaments, and just loves them |
11/03/06 - Still not walking but growing!!!
It has been a while, but not a lot of new news
other then Lexi is growing and getting in to more and more things |
Eye surgery is scheduled 11/09, hopefully this
will help her wondering eyes |
She seems poised to just start walking, but
still wont let go of things |
Lexi goes up and down the main stairs all day,
no more need for gates |
Lexi is starting to swallow solid foods, we
were starting to get a little worried the vent damage would require some
work to be done in her esophagus (or whereever in her throat), but
seeing her swallow is a relief |
08/28/06 - When will Lexi start to walk?
Lexi continues to cruise furniture and window
sills, on her feet all the time, just not willing to let go |
She is speaking more and has more and more
words, her favorites:
Baaaalloooooon |
GitThaBall |
No new or changed health issues to relate |
07/07/06 - Lexi still has not started to walk,
close?
She spends more and more time cruising the
couch, chairs, window sills |
We thought she would be walking on her own by
now, can't wait! |
She is nearly 21 pounds now, really growing |
Lexi has a mouth full of teeth, including 4 or
5 molars! |
No new news on Lexi's eyes except they seem
better, haven't been back to the doctor for that recently |

06/07/06 - Lexi has been busy growing up!!!
She had eye doctor appt in early may, her lazy
eye is getting better, so we are holding off surgery for another month
while doc looks at her stroke history (could it not be the typical lazy
eye?) |
Went to Disneyland mid-may (See:

Little Lexi had a blast |
Lexi loved small world, well how can you
not like Small World? She really really really enjoy it |
She is getting closer and closer to walking,
she could walk away from coffee table or couch any day now |

Blood pressure has been measuring a bit
high, so she is on Anilipril for now |

Lexi visited her heart sister for a weekend in
early March...a good time was had by all! |

03/07/06 - All is well
Lexi is growing and growing |
She scoots around the house very very fast, it
is hard to keep up with her |
Anything we eat she wants some. |
She is having some trouble swallowing
She does not want to swallow anything with
any sort of chunk in it (seems she only swallows liquids) |
Lexi has appointment with the swallowing
clinic, we will report back how that has gone |
Lexi's brother broke is ankle skiing 2 weeks
ago, so now he is slower to run away from her she tries to play with
him...it is quite qute. |

01/27/06 - Heart cath results are in - She is
doing well!!!
No sign of rejection, via biposy or any view
from the cameras |
She is off 1 more med, so she is down to
Cyclosporine only,
which she will be on the rest of her life |
Her transplant visits are cut back to 1 time
every 4 months |
The day of the cath did not go real well
She was very hungry by the scheduled 11 am
start |
Not aloud to eat 6hr prior |
The study was delayed 2 hours - she was a
grumpus!!!! |
They had trouble getting a good vein in
her groin (she has a few 'poke' marks) They were able go
in thru the neck |
She had lots of sedation, so when once she
was 'out', she was calm and basically stay 'out' all afternoon and
evening |
She is werking a hear monitor (walking
EKG) for 24 after, you can see that in today's pics |
01/16/06 - All is well, her first post transplant
heart cath is next week
Nothing too new and exciting to report |
Posted lots of pictures today |
Had eye dr appt today, her right eye is
working better, everyone is happy with the progress |
After her cath, if all is well, we should be
able to lower her anti rejection dose and be down to just the one med |
